The Confederacy of Independent Systems is formed in response to the Republic's increasing taxation and regulation. The Republic goes to war with the CIS, wins, and the Empire is formed, with the jedi now labeled as enemies. Luke and the rebellion against this Empire eventually win, and the New Republic is formed in its place |
